The Atlantic City Marathon has a 55 year year history in South Jersey! 95.1 WAYV and it's sister stations want to celebrate this history and help the event to grow bigger and better every year! Join us throughout the race route   on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 19th FROM 9AM-1PM to cheer on runners or JAM to these great bands / DJs below!  Hear Local bands and live disc jockeys from various genres such as rock, soul, blues, hip hop, punk and pop. Drive Ins – Steve & Cookies Cheer Zone in Margate
The Drive-Ins formed as a trio in 2011. Originally conceived as a classic rock band, the band soon evolved into a high energy hybrid, playing music from a wide variety of genres including jazz, blues and rock. Al Fisher, (keyboards/lead vocals) is a classically trained piano player with roots in Blues & Jazz. His influences include Frank Zappa and Miles Davis. Lou Shocket, (guitar/vocals) is celebrating his 30th year playing guitar. With a strong foundation in the Blues, Lou has played in various bands including:  Blues After Hours, Kat in a Hat and The Ballistics Blues Band. Lou’s influences include Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix.Art Branella (drums/vocals) is a versatile drummer who has performed with such bands as: The Exceptions, The Sarcastics, High Risk and The Hitmen. Art’s influences include Phil Collins and John Bonham. The Drive-Ins continue to build a following playing many different venues in South Jersey & Philadelphia. DJ JoJo Borsello – Atlantic City Boardwalk at Hard Rock Café
You can hear JoJo weekday mornings 530-9am on the #1 rated “ZXL Morning Show with JoJo & Scotty” on 100.7 WZXL. He enjoys sports gambling, craps and an occasional cigar. He's married - so ladies hands off!  JoJo appreciates free meals, drinks on the house, comp rooms, and not having to wait in lines. When not on the radio you might catch him spinning illegally downloaded music in some of the South Jersey’s finest venues. Jeff X - Margate Library -  is a musician and solo independent music artist ocated in the South New Jersey area.He has been in numerous cover and original bandsas a drummer, vocalist, guitarist and bassist.Many pictures, video links and song clips can be foundon his site of each project and past projects. Jeff's musical experience comes from rehearsals, live
performances and Stockton State College. So far, he has released2 CD's of originals material. The first in 2003 called,"Get Ahead" and recently with his band the"Fool Injectors" called, "Til We're Satisfied" in 2011.That recent CD has won the Battle of the Bands awardin South Jersey for 2013 contest from radio station,WAYV, WZXL, Bud Light and Buck London Studio. You'll always have a good time and see somethingout of the ordinary at a Jeff X show. He has now reformed his band with long time friend Bob Grant on Drums.Jeff X has opened up for big name acts such as,Joan Jett, Foghat, and John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band.





MOTHERLOAD - Kennedy Plaza outside Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City 

A five piece rock cover band from Atlantic County, covering a vast
variety of music from classic to modern rock and a little funk & reggae to keep the people up & dancing! Music from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today! The band has built a very supporting fan base playing venues throughout Philly to NJ. Motherload has performed at Chickie's and Pete's, Caroline's By the Bay, The Watering Hole, Christi's Bar, The Ocean Drive, Tom and Jerry's, & 100.7 WZXL’s Bud Light Battle By the Beach Band Competition at Margate Beachstock, The WZXL Aerosmith Pre Party & all AC Marathons. Atlantic City born and raised, DJ Jason E is hailed as one of the most sought-after DJs in the Atlantic City and Philadelphia club scene. He is the Official Nightclub DJ / Mix Show DJ on 99.3 Kiss FM and 95.1 WAYV, DJ Jason E has been featured in Esquire Magazine and have been voted "Atlantic City’s # 1 Resident DJ in the AC Weekly Nightlife Awards" for 2014 and 2012. He is best known for his 14-hour marathon music sets at the legendary Studio Six but, you can catch him performing at the hottest nightclubs from New York City to South Beach. Steve began his music career in Brooklyn, as a solo acoustic performer in New York local bars. Now, 25 years later he still enjoys performing at well-known locales like McFadden's on 3rd St in Philadelphia. Steve is also a member of the regional band, Beyond Therapy, which performs classic and modern rock covers. He donates his time regularly performing in various benefit shows for The Atlantic City Marathon Series, Barbara Cook, For the Cure, Susan B. Komen For the Cure, Small Steps in Speech, Variety, The Children's Charity of Philadelphia, Animal Orphanage and Animal Welfare Association.“I feel blessed to be able to play music for others. Giving back is important to me,” stated Steve. When he’s not busy playing music, Steve is an Electrical Engineer.
